There are a number of recycling-related events that occur throughout the year such as recycling competitions with other schools, celebrating holidays that promote recycling and sustainability, and get-togethers for students, faculty and staff that help keep the campus clean.
Football brings a lot of visitors to campus, and celebrations in and outside of the stadium inevitably produce a large amount of waste in a very short time span. Recycling Services works especially hard on Game Days to ensure that revelers have ample access to recycling facilities near almost any gathering. We're grateful to the many student volunteers who help make Game Day Recycling a success each year. Not only does this help us reuse our valuable resources, it also promotes good recycling practices within the community.
We are always looking for volunteers to help pass out recycling bags to our fans before the games. To get involved with Game Day Recycling, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Recyclemania is a nationwide competition between over 600 universities across the nation to recover as much material from the landfill as possible. Happening once a year for a period of 8 weeks in the Spring Semester, you can contribute to Clemson's ranking by recycling any waste you generate.
